Wordchainer has no accounts. When you play, we store your attempt (which words you solved, how many misses and letters you used, and your time) along with the optional name you type, so leaderboards and friend chains work. Guesses themselves are not stored.

Your browser keeps a small amount of local data so the daily chain locks after you finish, your streak shows on the home page, and the chains you built are listed on this device. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.

Wordchainer shows a small number of ads through Google AdSense to cover hosting costs. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised ads at google.com/settings/ads. Ads never appear while you are solving a chain.

We look at aggregate numbers such as how many people play each day. We do not sell personal data and we do not run tracking for anyone other than the ad provider above.
